The Bathinda District on May 18, 2020, withdrawn the curfew during day time (7.00 AM to 7.00 PM) and only the curfew will remain in force from 7.00 PM to 7.00 AM daily from May 18, 2020 to May 31, 2020.

However, following guidelines would be required to be followed during the extended period of lockdown:

 Permitted Activities:

i. All kinds of shops including Barber shops, Saloons, Spas, shops in main bazars in both urban and rural; Sports complexes and Stadium; Industries and Industrial establishments; Construction activities; Agricultural and incidental activities; E-commerce; Government and private offices with 50% staff or shiftwise staff

ii. Movement of persons for non-essential services will remain prohibited between 7.00 PM to 7.00 AM.

iii. All exempted categories must meticulously follow and ensure social distancing.

iv. No separate permission would be required by the industries and other establishments to resume their operations.

v. All types of goods or carriers will be allowed including empty trucks between 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM subject to compliance of Standard Operating Procedure

 Prohibited Activities:

i. Schools, colleges and other educational institutions and coaching institutes.

ii. Hotels, Restaurants and other hospitality services, all eating points (including home delivery of food).

iii. Cinema halls, malls, Clubs, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks and similar places.

iv. Shopping complexes (they can make home delivery of all the articles of their stores).

v. All gatherings

In case the guidelines are violated the individuals shall be penalised under Section 51 to Section 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, which talks about offences and penalties. In addition to that, individual shall be tried under section 188 of Indian Penal Code, which specifies penalty for disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant

This Order will remain force till further orders.
