DAE issues preventive measure to contain the spread of COVID-19

The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) on May 03, 2020 has issued the preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. The following instruction are hereby issued for strict compliance by all Constituent units/PSUs/Aided Institutions of the DAE: - 

1. Officers of the level of Deputy Secretary and all Constituent Units, PSUs, Aided Institutions, which are in Red Zones (Hotspots), Orange Zones and Green Zones shall function to the extent of 100% strength. The remaining officers and staffs will attend up to 33% as per requirement.

2. The staff identified for essential services such as medical, security, house keeping etc. shall continue to attend their duties, adequate logistics and other facilities must be provided for the staff.  

3. A list of all office staff shall be maintained at the Unit level with details of the name, designation, timing etc. of the employee.

4. All persons in charge of work places shall ensure adherence to National directives guidelines for COVID-19 management (‘Work Places’). Social distancing and safety norms as per the guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare are to be followed both within the work places and in departmental transport 

5. All Government offices in the area of all Municipal Corporations within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Malegaon Municipal Corporation, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) have been excluded from functioning up to May 17, 2020 or further orders, whichever is earlier.

6. If the respective State Governments Union Territories, Local Authorities have imposed stricter measures on containment of spread of COVID-19, Unite Heads must issue local orders for compliance of these in resonance with the new MHA guidelines & inform DAE about the same. 

7. Using the "Arogya Setu" app is mandatory for all employees, including contractual staff with smart phones. All heads of Units / PSUs / Aided Institutions are responsible for ensuring 100% coverage of this app among such employees.

8. Instructions issued regarding exemption of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) shall be borne in mind while drawing up rosters of the staff.

9. No proposal for deputation abroad shall be processed until further orders. Meetings/ conferences to be held via Video Conferencing

10. All local unit heads must ensure adequate supply of medicine in their jurisdiction and must procure equipment like ventilators, oxygen cylinders etc. with approval of respective Heads

11. Entry and exit points to colonies of DAE Units must be strictly regulated.
