APPCB amends the process of granting CFE and CFO for manufacturing of sanitizers

The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) on April 02, 2020, has decided to amend the process of granting CFE (Consent for Establishment) and CFO (Consent for Operation) for manufacturing or formulation of sanitizers in the state due to the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Therefore, the following amendments are made in the process of granting CFE and CFO to ensure the availability and production of sanitizer to handle the COVID-19 pandemic: 

1. Any existing sanitizer manufacturing unit can start sanitizer bottling activity immediately and apply for consent in 15 days.

2. Any existing sanitizer bottling unit can start sanitizer formulation activity immediately and apply for consent in 15 days.

3. Any existing distillery unit can start sanitizer formulation and / or bottling activity immediately and apply for consent in 15 days.

4. Any other existing chemical or bulk drug manufacturing or formulation unit can start sanitizer formulation and / or bottling activity immediately and apply for consent in 15 days.

The project proponents can apply online on A.P. Single Desk Portal. The proposal for manufacturing shall be considered on priority basis and accordingly order will be issued by the Zonal Officers of APPCB for a temporary period of 2 months and shall be issued in pollution control angle only. The CFE and CFO fee is not required.

This Circular shall remain in force till May 31, 2020.
