Pune Municipal Corporation mandates wearing of masks to prevent infection and outbreak of Corona virus

The Pune Municipal Corporation on April 08, 2020, mandates the public to wear masks while going out to prevent infection and outbreak of Corona virus.

However, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, concerned authority issues following rules as authorized under Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, in addition to the Social Distance measure, which will help to reduce the spread of the corona virus to people who come into contact with each other:

 It is mandatory for all persons to wear 3 ply masks or cloth masks when they go out in public places like, road, hospital, office, market place, etc. for any purpose and for any reason.

 It is mandatory for all persons to wear a mask while traveling in their personal or private vehicle. 

 All visitors entering the office will be required to wear face masks otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the office

 It is being made mandatory for all government and semi-government, corporations, corporations, public undertakings and all other official employees to wear masks from the time they enter the office to the time they leave the office. 

 The mask should be a standard mask or a homemade laundry mask or a mask that can be reused after dehydration. 

The said order shall remain in force till further order.
