Government of Delhi mandates wearing of masks

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority on April 08, 2020, directs the public to wear masks in public places to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The following persons are required to wear 3-ply mask or loth mask masks compulsorily, namely:

1. All persons while moving for whatsoever purpose and under whatever reason / authority in public places like street, hospitals, office, markets etc.

2. Person moving around in his personal and official vehicle.

3. Any person working at any site / office / workplace 

4. Every person / officer will attend meeting / gathering by wearing masks

5. These masks may be standard mask available with the chemist or even homemade washable masks and can be reused after proper washing and disinfecting them.

Anybody violating these instructions will be punishable under section 188 of Indian Penal Code which specifies punishment for disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant and will be strictly penalised.
