TNPCB extends the validity period of consent to operate till June 30, 2020

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board of India (TNPCB) on April 01, 2020, has decided to extend the validity of Consent to Operate for all the units. Due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 across the country, the health care facilities and waste management facilities are operated to maintain hygiene of the community. Thus, the TNPCB has decide to extend the validity Consent to Operate for all the units, who have valid consent to operate upto March 31, 2020 for a period of three months that is upto June 30, 2020.

Similarly, where the authorisations are granted under the Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016; Bio-medical Waste Management Rules, 2016; Solid waste management Rules, 2016 and are valid upto March 31, 2020, has been extended upto June 30, 2020.
