Andhra Pradesh Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department issues measures to allay the hardships faced by various sections of the society during COVID-19

The Andhra Pradesh Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department on March 23, 2020, has issued measures to allay the hardships likely to be faced by various sections of the society. The measures will come into immediate force.

The measures are as under:

 The April ration of rice and 1Kg of red gram dal will be given free of cost to all rice card holders. In addition, April ration supplies will be distributed in advance at the FP Shops from March 29, 2020.

 All rice card holding families will be given a onetime support of Rs. 1000/- to meet the expenditure on other essential commodities such as groceries, vegetables and salt etc.

 All the Government as well as private establishments will make payments of wages or salaries fully to the workers or employees including those working under contract and outsourcing basis during the lockdown period. Any violation will invite penal action under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.
