MoLE extends the last date of filing of Unified Annual Returns under 8 Labour Laws for the year 2019

The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on March 20, 2020 extends the last date of filing of Unified Annual Returns under 8 Labour Laws for the year 2019 upto April 30, 2020.

The filing of Unified Annual Returns for the year 2019 under 8 Labour Laws namely:

1.       Payment of Wages Act, 1936,

2.       Minimum Wages Act, 1948,

3.       Maternity Benefit Act, 1961,

4.       Payment of Bonus Act, 1965,

5.       Industrial Disputes Act, 1947,

6.       Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970,

7.       Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979, and

8.       Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Condition of Service) (BOCW) Act, 1996, were to be filed from January 01 to February 01, 2020.

In view of the spread of Novel Corona Virus, the last date of filing of Annual Returns for the year 2019 is extended upto April 30, 2020. Therefore, MoLE requested authorities not to take any legal action for non-filing of Annual Returns for the year 2019 against the establishments.
