DGFT issues the procedure for import of Calcined Pet Coke and Raw Pet Coke for the FY 2021-22

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on March 31, 2021 has notifies the Procedure and mechanism to implement the restrictions imposed on import of Calcined Pet Coke for Aluminum Industry and Raw Pet Coke for CPC manufacturing industry for the year 2021-22. 

The conditions and modalities of application for import of pet Coke are as under: -

• Import will be subject to the guidelines issued by MoEF&CC under vide OM No- Q-18011/54/2018-CPA. 

• The annual Quantity limitation in import will be operated on fiscal year basis. 

• The eligible entities will apply import license as per the procedure mentioned in the Trade Notice No- 49, dated March 15, 2019 with State pollution Control Board Certificate (SPCB)/Pollution Control Committee (PCC) and valid consent certificate from SPCB/PCC.

• The import license/authorization will be valid till March 31, 2022 for the purpose of imports. 

• The quantity allocated during FY 2021-22 to the applicants in case the quantity is not utilized or surrendered to DGFT, the quantity will be deducted from the quota for which applicant would be eligible in FY 2022-23. 

• The details of his import which is quantity, source and the date of import with details of bill of entry in respect of each consignment on clearance of goods from customs should inform the Regional Authority. 

• Imports or consignment must be cleared by custom authorities should be completed before March 31, 2022.
