Goa Department of Power extends the validity of One Time Settlement Scheme, 2020

The Goa Department of Power on January 08, 2021 has issued a Notification regarding the extension in the validity of “One Time Settlement Scheme, 2020” under Electricity Department for defaulting consumers of electricity charges having accumulated arrears upto October 10, 2020 for Temporarily Disconnected, Permanently Disconnected and Revenue Recovery cases consumers and upto October 13, 2020 for Active consumers of the Department on the same terms and condition as stated in the scheme mentioned in Notification dated January 01, 2020 is extended upto January 31, 2021.

Further, the Department has granted 50% relief on the outstanding amount of the old Permanently Disconnected consumers as on October 10, 2020. The segregation of principal amount and Delayed Payment Charges (DPC) are not available in the records of the Department and the entire amount has been treated as principal amount in OTSS-2020.
