Kerala State Commodity Tax Department issues press release on Amnesty 2020 project

The Kerala State Commodity Tax Department has issued a press release on Amnesty 2020 project. The Amnesty 2020 is the largest amnesty plan in the history of the state tax department. Commodity tax Laws, Tax Correlation Tax, Tax Concession Tax, Luxury Tax, as per Surcharge, Agricultural Income Tax and Excise Tax, taxpayers under the afore-mentioned laws may apply for amnesty.

Those submitting application and being accepted will receive 100 per cent concession on the interest and penalty on the option offered by the scheme. However, according to the law, all tax post 2005 will only get tax deduction for penalty. Those paying in lumpsum will receive 60 per cent of the tax deductible, those who pay in installments will get up to 50 per cent.

All taxpayers can submit an application under the Amnesty Plan. Please register at to submit the application. Because this is the last amnesty scheme under the law everyone should take maximum use of this opportunity and pay the taxes. Requested by the Commissions Tax Commissioner.
