DGFT issues procedure and criteria for submission and approval of applications for export of Diagnostic Kits

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 30, 2020 has issued the procedure and criteria for submission and approval of applications for export of Diagnostic Kits. 

Following is the procedure and criteria for export of Diagnostic Kits: 

• Export Quota has been fixed for the following diagnostic kits: 

1. VTM Kits- 238 Lakh

2. RNA Extraction Kits- 149 Lakh 

3. RT-PCR Kits- Single tube- 34 Lakh 

4. RT-PCR Kits- double tube- 40 Lakh 

5. RT PCR Kits- triple tube- 40 Lakh 

• Export of the kits shall be according to the quota stated for the month of August. 

• Exporters (both manufacturers and merchant exporters) shall apply online through the DGFT ecomm portal. 

• Exporters who already applied online for the export of Diagnostic kits need not apply again. However, they need to file the documents prescribed on the email at [email protected] mentioning the specific file number in the mail.
